It was only a matter of time before Lauren Faust's genius would turn out to be so infectious that I would want to cosplay as a pony! And the bubbly, spastic Pinkie Pie is perfect for cons!

The dress here has some history. It originally was going to be my dress for Ponyo, but I decided halfway through that I'd rather make the dress in red. So I threw the half-finished pink dress into the scrap bin, intending to either recycle it into either a Lolita dress or a Nurse Joy (Pokémon) costume when I found the time to complete it.

But when considering which pony to cosplay (with Twilight Sparkle and Rarity being my favorites), I remembered the half-finished pink dress in my scrap bin! Pinkie Pie would SO be the kind of pony to wear a cute party dress! After I finished the dress and painted on the cutie mark with a mixture of sparkly white and the three colors of the balloons, I just had to add the accessories.

The tights are salmon pink ballet tights and the flats are plain pink flats from Amazon.com. The wig came from The Five Wits and even has a clip-on side ponytail to make a Pinkie Pie's hairdo even cuter. The pink ears are made by Yaya Han. The ridiculously big petticoat I already owned.

Now who wants to party?!
